About us
Anderson, Clayton & Co (ACCO) began as a Texas cottonseed crushing operation back in 1904. Over the next 20 years, the company became one of the Lone Star state’s leading livestock feed millers with plants in Abilene, Amarillo and Dallas.
Through the years, the ACCO Feeds® brand expanded its line of products and entered markets in other states. The Showmaster® brand was introduced in 1971, the first feed specially formulated for show animals. By the 1980s, Showmaster® feeds had nourished 10 consecutive years of Grand Champion Steers at the Houston Livestock Show—the world’s largest show of its kind at the time.
In 1987, Showmaster® feeds (along with the rest of the ACCO Feeds® brand) joined Cargill as part of its animal nutrition division. Both companies shared a relentless pursuit of nourishing animals with a focus on helping others succeed and Showmaster® feeds and supplements continued to flourish.
Today, the Showmaster® brand carries on its legacy of building champions through cutting-edge nutrition research, innovative feed and supplement formulations, and educational and rewards programs that feed the potential of youth leaders.
